Terms & Conditions

1. By booking a table at Maternal Touch Baby Fairs you acknowledge and accept the Terms & Conditions as listed on this website.

Table Bookings

2.1. All tables are subject to approval and must be booked prior to the event.

2.2. Under no circumstances can a business promote themselves from a pre-loved (Nearly New) sale table.

2.3. Pre-loved sales items can only be sold from a trade table when the nature of the business is to sell nearly new items.

2.4. In order to maximise variety and interest for the visitors trade exhibitors will not be duplicated where possible. If there are more than one of a similar trade the table will go to whoever makes payment first.

2.5. Although Maternal Touch Baby Fair makes every effort not to duplicate exhibitors, some similarities or overlaps may occur.

2.6. If you book 2 tables at a single event they will be placed next to each other and charged separately.

2.7. Maternal Touch Baby Fairs do not accept provisional bookings. Sending a booking form does not constitute a booking. Tables will only be secure upon receipt of payment in full.

2.8. Each event is treated separately i.e. if you have completed a booking for one event your place is not automatically secured at a following event.

2.9. Payment can be made by cash (please do not send cash in the post), cheque or bank transfer

Confirmation

3.1. Once in receipt of your booking form and cleared payment Maternal Touch Baby Fairs will update their website to reflect your booking and a booking receipt will be sent via email.

3.2. Maternal Touch Baby Fairs will only promote your presence at their event(s) upon receipt of cleared payment in full.

Cancellation

4.1 If for any reason you should need to cancel a booking, the cancellation charge will be as follows:

More than 28 days before the event - Full Refund

Between 14-28 days before the event - 50% Refund

Up to 14 days before the event - Nil Refund

4.2 If Maternal Touch Baby Fairs cancel the event for a reason that is in their control you will receive a full refund.

4.3 If the event is cancelled for a reason outside of Maternal Touch Baby Fairs control (for example fire, flood, terrorism, vandalism etc.) you will not receive a refund.

Sales Area

5.1. Your Sales Area comprises of a 1.8m x 0.7m trestle table or similar sized table with space around to get behind the table and space behind the table for two chairs (Chairs are not provided).

5.2. Exhibitors will be notified by email of their allocated table at least 7 days prior to an event. Any exhibitor wishing to relocate must submit their request within the timescale stated on the notification.

5.3. If you require the space only without a table please notify the organiser of Maternal Touch Baby Fairs at least 7 days before the event.

5.4. Each table must be supervised and by a maximum of two persons.

Safe Selling

6.1.1. If you wish to sell items, please ensure you have read the following:

Due to health and safety reasons, Maternal Touch Baby Fairs advise that you do not sell the following items:

Used dummies/soothers

Used beakers, bottles or cups

Used potties or toilet training seats

Unsealed creams, lotions, etc.

Used bike helmets

Food and drink (unless authorised by the organiser of Maternal Touch Baby Fairs)

We also recommend you buy and sell the following items with caution:

Car seats

Pushchairs without the British Standard sticker BS 7409 or BS EN 1888

Baby bouncers and walkers

Mattresses

Breast pumps

Any mains powered electrical items

6.1.2. All toys and equipment should comply with British Safety Standards.

6.1.3. All furniture should comply with British Safety Standards and should be complete, dismantled where possible and with instructions, if possible.

6.1.4. Puzzles and board games should be complete.

6.1.5. All electronic toys should be in working order and with instructions, if possible.

6.1.6. Clothes should be clean

6.2. Unless authorised by the organiser of Maternal Touch Baby Fairs you are only permitted to sell baby's or children's clothes, toys and equipment and associated goods and services.

6.3. Please bring only good quality items that you would be happy to buy yourself!

6.4 Maternal Touch Baby Fairs reserves the right to request removal of items for sale that do not comply to the above terms.

Venue Rules

7. By attending Maternal Touch Baby Fairs as a buyer, seller or exhibitor you acknowledge and accept the rules of the venue management and agree to abide by any reasonable requests of their employees. In particular you are required to keep all fire exits clear of obstruction and comply with emergency procedures.

Setting Up and Clearing Away

8.1. Sellers/Exhibitors are permitted to enter the venue one and a half hours (8.30 am) before the event and must be fully set up 10 minutes before the start time. Earlier Set up by arrangement is available.

8.2. Sellers/Exhibitors must be at the venue to set up before 9.30am, unless there is a prior agreement.

8.3. Transactions are only permitted between the start and finish times.

8.4. Sellers/Exhibitors must not begin to clear away until the end time unless prior arrangement has been made with the event organiser of Maternal Touch Baby Fairs.

8.5. Sellers/Exhibitors are required to remove all unsold goods, display equipment and anything else that belongs to them, and clear all rubbish from their sales area within one hour after the end of the sale.

9. Maternal Touch Baby Fairs accept no responsibility or liability for the quality or condition of items or services purchased at one of their events or directly with the vendor. Purchases are made entirely at the individual's own risk. Maternal Touch Baby Fairs accept no responsibility for sellers', exhibitors' or buyers' property at the event and accept no liability for loss or damage howsoever caused.
