4) Where are BabyCalm(TM) courses held?
Sue Searle, BabyCalm(TM) practitioner holds courses and workshops in the Stevenage, Letchworth and NW6 areas. If you are looking for courses in other areas please look at the main BabyCalm website www.babycalm.co.uk. Sue is happy to teach courses in your own venue, such as somebody's home. Some BabyCalm(TM) practitioners are frequently asked to teach NCT antenatal groups - perhaps you could set up a group with your new mum friends? Please contact Sue on 0777 975 8181 or e-mail sue@maternaltouch.org.uk Please note there may be an extra charge for this to cover travel expenses.
5) How do I book a course?
Please contact Sue on 0777 975 8181 or e-mail sue@maternaltouch.org.uk
6) Can I bring older children to a BabyCalm(TM) course or workshop?
As much as we adore all children, BabyCalm(TM) has to say unfortunately classes are for new parents and babies only, we aim to provide a calm and peaceful environment and this is not always possible with toddlers and older children present, as I'm sure you will understand!
We can recommend a couple of local babysitters who may be available (they are both CRB checks, lots of experience and have first aid qualifications.)
7) I really do not like the idea of baby training methods that involve routines and lots of crying, is BabyCalm(TM) the course for me?
Rest assured we dislike these methods too! we promise to never teach you to let your baby "cry it out" or control their crying in any way.
8) What age is a BabyCalm(TM) course suitable for?
The younger the better really! we are happy to teach parents with babies up to 20wks of age. The sooner the start the greater the benefit though - why not join one of our antenatal baby calming workshops to give you a head start?
9) Is it possible to hold a private BabyCalm(TM) Course or workshop?
Yes Sue is happy to do this, this option will of course include an extra charge, but many of our parents believe this option is so worth it, particularly in the early days if they are struggling with sleep deprivation! Please do contact Sue at the telelphone number or e-mail address above
10) How do I know it will work?
All BabyCalm(TM) methods are based on sound evidence and psychological research.
11) Do you offer refunds if I miss a class?
We do ask for payment in full before a workshop or course. This payment guarantees your course place and also any course materials which your practitioner will order in for you. Unfortunately if you miss a class for some reason we are unable to refund payment for that session, though we will be pleased to offer you the chance to attend the session you have missed on a subsequent course for free.
12) How do I pay?
Payment is by cheque, or bank transfer.
